\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It was\u00a0spring time and I decided to clean my vehicle.\u00a0\u00a0I needed to get rid of the salt on the floors from the winter, clean the interior and exterior\u00a0along with making sure there was\u00a0enough fluids (oil,\u00a0break fluid, radiator, etc.) in the vehicle.\u00a0\u00a0While I was\u00a0trying to remove\u00a0stains out of the seats, I noticed some good size holes in the drivers seat.\u00a0\u00a0After examining it, I was wonder where they\u00a0come from?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n After looking at the areas of the holes,\u00a0I noticed that\u00a0they lined up with the gear I carry on my belt.\u00a0 Over\u00a0the years, my Every Day Carry (EDC) was slowly\u00a0rubbing the fabric of the chair and\u00a0it\u00a0finally made a hole.\u00a0 I also wondered if this was also having an impact on my home furniture.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I don\u2019t want to change the locations of my gear since these are strategically placed.\u00a0 Plus if I moved them, they may create additional holes in my seat.\u00a0 The only resolution I could come up with was to cover the seats.\u00a0 So\u00a0I went out and bought some\u00a0seat\u00a0covers.\u00a0 Now this is not going to stop the holes from being created again, but at least there is some\u00a0sort of protection for the seat for a limited time.\u00a0\u00a0 Now I will have to keep an eye on this and when the holes start forming, I\u2019ll end up just replacing the seat cover.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If you\u00a0have a new vehicle, purchasing seat\u00a0covers would be\u00a0beneficial,\u00a0especially when it comes to stains.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I have modified the seat cover and attached some padding to the backside of the car seat fabric.\u00a0\u00a0You can go to one\u00a0of those craft stores and\u00a0find some\u00a0thin foam.\u00a0 Try\u00a0about a quarter of an inch or some other soft fabric, you can attach it to the seat or the\u00a0backside of the seat cover\u00a0with double sided tape or velcro and this should help with\u00a0reducing the chances of\u00a0creating holes in your seat.\u00a0 You may even find some fake leather that is sturdy and attach this to the seat cover fabric.\u00a0 I have seen some that have one side that is sticky, but could not find it at the store I was visiting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Everyone will be different on where they carry their tools, but you want to make sure that the padding is large enough to cover the tool and\u00a0the area that your body would be\u00a0moving around\u00a0within the\u00a0chair.\u00a0You may have to experiment with this since you may feel the padding while seated and it may drive you crazy for a short while, you may not notice it at all, or you may have to change the thickness to accommodate.\u00a0 You don\u2019t want to be driving and be uncomfortable at the same time.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n You may also find another solution.\u00a0 So if you\u2019re going to carry tools daily, you\u2019ll have to keep an eye on where they are pressing up against in your chair and make sure its not going to create any damage, especially if you have leather seats.\u00a0 Repairs can get expensive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Be safe out there, be the responsible firearm owner and always follow the \u201c<\/i><\/b>Concealed Carry Creed<\/i><\/b><\/a>\u201d!!<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Grandpa \u201cG\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If you find these stories and tips useful, please share this website with others.<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" \u00a0 Do you carry your tools daily?\u00a0 Have you ever discovered a new hole in your car seat or furniture?\u00a0 What can you do about this?\u00a0 \u00a0 It was\u00a0spring time and I decided to clean my vehicle.\u00a0\u00a0I needed to get rid of the salt on the floors from the winter, clean the interior and exterior\u00a0along… Do you carry your tools daily?\u00a0 Have you ever discovered a new hole in your car seat or furniture?\u00a0 What can you do about this?<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n
