Many of us carry tools on us on a daily basis.\u00a0 We call them our Every Day Carry (EDC).\u00a0 Some of us will carry a sidearm, keys, a gun belt, multi-tool, flashlight, a knife, cell phone, money, maybe a backup firearm.\u00a0 These items are very important to have.\u00a0 A flashlight when light is needed.\u00a0 A knife when the occasion comes up (box cutter, cutting rope, for self-defense, etc.).\u00a0 A multi-tool to repair items or get you out of scrapes.\u00a0 A cell phone for emergency purposes.\u00a0 A gun belt to carry your tools.\u00a0 Keys for your home and vehicle.\u00a0 A firearm for obvious purposes.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n You carry some or all of these items daily, but do you do any preventive maintenance to them?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s very important to make sure your tools are up to par.\u00a0 Is your knife\u00a0sharpened?\u00a0 Does\u00a0your\u00a0flashlight have fresh batteries?\u00a0\u00a0Is\u00a0your firearm free of fuzz, oiled and ready to go?\u00a0 Are your bullets in good condition from the elements?\u00a0 Is there rust on your multi-tool?\u00a0 Are the knives sharpened on your multi-tool?\u00a0 Is your cell phone charged?\u00a0 Is it configured to get the most out of your battery?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If\u00a0you’re\u00a0not prepared and something happens where you need to use your Every Day Carry (EDC) what do you do then?\u00a0 Run home and throw a fresh battery in\u00a0it\u00a0when you need it most?\u00a0 Is your knife dull and will not cut even a sheet of paper?\u00a0 For those of us who carry daily, we must keep our gear ready to go without any surprises.\u00a0 They can be a life saver when needed most.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Right now, set up an automated reminder to check your gear every month.\u00a0 Yes, you can set this up on your cell phone.\u00a0 I have mine set and I go through everything, even checking my holster for cracks or for loose screws which need to be tightened.\u00a0 Sometimes I will check my sights on my firearm to make sure they are still aligned.\u00a0 Always be prepared.\u00a0 Don\u2019t put it off until later.\u00a0 You may need it at that time.<\/p>\n So make sure you take care of your EDC since it will take care of you when you need it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Be safe out there, be the responsible firearm owner and always follow the \u201c<\/i><\/b>Concealed Carry Creed<\/i><\/b><\/a>\u201d!!<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Grandpa \u201cG\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If you find these stories and tips useful, please share this website with others.<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Are you ready when something goes down?\u00a0\u00a0Is\u00a0your\u00a0equipment ready for action?\u00a0 Do you take care of your equipment?\u00a0 \u00a0 Many of us carry tools on us on a daily basis.\u00a0 We call them our Every Day Carry (EDC).\u00a0 Some of us will carry a sidearm, keys, a gun belt, multi-tool, flashlight, a knife, cell phone,…
