I know people get tired, but firearms should be on the top of your tired list and getting sleep is second on that list.\u00a0 Safety first.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t leave a firearm unattended.\u00a0 Maybe you are with your child when they have their drivers permit, they get pulled over and that smoke wagon is near them.\u00a0 That\u2019s a real bad situation.\u00a0 It looks like to the officer that the firearm is in their possession and they are under the legal age limit.\u00a0 This can go from bad to worse in seconds.\u00a0 As a responsible firearm owner, you should come up with alternative solutions.\u00a0 You may have to have two vehicle holster locations if you will be the passenger in your own vehicle.\u00a0 One on the driver side and one on the passenger.\u00a0 Or you have it on you while the other passenger is driving.\u00a0 All vehicles and possible situations will be different.\u00a0 You&#8217;re going to have to be prepared.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a passenger (not the driver) and get pulled over while you are armed, depending on state law, you will have to show your ID and your permit (if state requires a concealed carry permit) along with the drivers.\u00a0 Be smart about this and be calm.\u00a0 If you\u2019re a passenger that is armed, you get pulled over, have that ID ready and your hands on the dashboard in plain sight or on the head rest of the chair in front of you if you are in the backseat.\u00a0 Keep your hands in view at all times and far away from your firearm.\u00a0 Be prepared with your ID and not searching for it while the officer is at the window.\u00a0 The officer does not know your intentions and may misinterpret.<\/p>\n<p>Always plan ahead and be aware of what\u2019s going on around you.\u00a0 This is for the safety of all people including the officer coming to your window.\u00a0 Follow the law and if you don\u2019t understand it, talk to an attorney.\u00a0 Be prepared before you get in that vehicle with other passengers, not trying to come up with solutions while on the road.<\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Be safe out there, be the responsible firearm owner and always follow the \u201c<\/i><\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/goldenphipress.com\/WayOfTheConcealedCarrier\/book-description\/\"><b><i>Concealed Carry Creed<\/i><\/b><\/a><b><i>\u201d!!<\/i><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Grandpa \u201cG\u201d<span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><i>If you find these stories and tips useful, please share this website with others.<\/i><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What do you do if your passengers are not concealed carriers and you get pulled over?\u00a0 Is the driver accidentally armed because of you and they cannot legally carry?\u00a0 What can you do to prevent a situation from getting out of control when authorities are involved?
